Reid Myers for Sunnyvale School Board on Nov. 8th

As a parent, community member, and tax payer, I believe the success of our local public schools is critical. The Sunnyvale School District has continued to improve despite the challenges it has faced. As funding continues to be tenuous, we need strong leaders at the helm. I have a track record of positive impact in our schools and I am excited about doing more good work for the benefit of our entire district and our community. I offer:

Active Leadership: A track record of success in moving our district and children toward greater educational achievement

Balanced Perspective: Ensuring a cost-effective education that balances the needs of all involved while keeping our children at the heart of all decisions

Collaborative Approach: Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community members to create effective partnerships that ensure we maximize opportunities for our children

  • Cumberland South Neighborhood Association, Founder & President, 2005-Present
  • Initiated successful school launch (28 classrooms) of Project Cornerstone’s ABC Program—giving children the emotional tools they need to thrive
  • Room parent and class volunteer, 2007-Present
  • Led effort to secure a much-needed computer lab
  • Saved resources by moving local school communications online
